Centre Middle School Mission Statement
The mission of Centre Middle School encompasses educating our students in a safe environment with emphasis on knowledge, skills, self-discipline, independence, and responsibility. The Centre Middle School faculty and staff strive to successfully bridge the transitional years between elementary and secondary school as students move from childhood into adolescence.
Centre Middle School Focus
Middle school is our favorite place to be! It is a place to watch students grow and develop in every way: physically, cognitively, emotionally, and socially. They are neither elementary nor secondary students, but 10 to 14 years olds, in the middle, with their own set of developmental characteristics and needs that must be recognized and addressed.
The 2011-2012 Centre Middle School theme is “under construction.” Our main project this year is to form a strong foundation in academics through collaboration among students, parents, faculty and community. By the end of the year, we hope to sit back, relax and enjoy the warm school climate we have constructed and to watch our students productively move forward into the 21st century!
